Well I stink at this blogging thing. I will try to make a little more of an effort to blog more regularly, but I have so much to tell!
We have had a busy couple of weeks! Aeson turned the big "3"!!! We had a great time celebrating his birthday at the park with family and friends. He requested an airplane party so a friend of his aunt made an amazing airplane cake for the occasion. It took him a while to warm up to the idea of the party though. For whatever reason my social butterfly wanted nothing to do with anyone. He refused to play on the playground and barely spoke to anyone. When I gave him his cheeseburger he shuffled his way to his own table across the pavillion instead of sitting at the table with all the kids. Alex, papa, daddy mac, and I decided to join him so he wouldn't have to eat alone at his own party. After lunch we sang "Happy Birthday" and let him open his presents. Out came his personality! He was too funny when he opened his gifts. He was so upset every time he had to put one down to open a new one. He wanted to play with everything right then! Once we finished with presents and cake he decided that it was time to play. Of course everyone began to leave so I think he was a little late. Overall it was a great day.
A couple of other "big" occasions have occurred in the past couple of weeks. Bryden received his first report card! It was full of S's and E's so I am one proud mama! I can't believe the first six weeks of school is already over! The boys also had another first. We went to their first Texas Tech football game! They acted so great. I was a little skeptical of how Aeson would hold up through the game but he was a trooper and passed the time with a little girl sitting in front of us. Alex tried to explain to Bryden the rules of the game and he actually listened and watched a lot of the game. It was a great time. Thank goodness Tech won! The game was at the state fair and we planned on going into the fair after the game. I have no idea what I was thinking it would be like, but it was so incredibly crowded. I was feeling a little under the weather so we only lasted long enough to buy a some corn dogs for everyone. It was Alex's first corn dog from the fair believe it or not! He enjoyed it as much as the boys. It was worth the wait in the crazy line. :)
