Busy Bryden

Well the title says it all.  Bryden has become so busy lately that I realized I haven't even posted anything about his sports!  This year, Bryden has played basketball and is now playing soccer and tball.  Basketball has been over for a couple of weeks now, but let me just say it was so much fun.  It is by far the best sport he has played yet!  It was so cute to see these kids dribbling (or lack thereof) the basketball down the court and making baskets.  I was actually amazed at how well some of these kids played.  Bryden wasn't too bad himself!  I wasn't sure how he was going to do at basketball, but so far it seems like one of his best sports.  He had a great time and I was sad to see the season end.  Soccer season recently started and he has one practice a week with their game being held on Saturdays.  The kids seem to have a blast playing it, but this has to be my least favorite sport (sorry Bryden).  Last year he played and didn't seem to enjoy it all that much.  He actually didn't plan on participating this year, but decided to give it another try.  I have to give him credit for having such a good attitude, even though I honestly didn't care either way.  I do have to say that he is enjoying it more this year, so I guess I should prepare myself to be a soccer mom for at least a couple more years!  As if soccer didn't take up enough time, now we have tball to look forward to!  Practices started last week and the games will start in April.  Most people seem to think of this game as boring, but I actually enjoy it!  Bryden is also begging me to do karate, but I just don't think we have the time.  Maybe over the summer....

I will also try to post more pics of Bryden's games.  I haven't had a chance to upload pictures to the computer, but will try to do it soon!

All about Roo!

You may be wondering what is "roo"?  "Roo" is our little nickname for Aeson!  I'm not sure where it started from, although I know I think it came from "Ace-a-roni" then it became "roni" and now it is just "roo".  It doesn't make much sense, but it fits him.  :)

Anyways, I kind of wanted to blog only about Aeson today because he is at such a special age where everything that comes out of his mouth is just so darn cute!  (Ok..not EVERYTHING, but mostly).  I love how one night I told him he was the sweetest boy ever and he responded by saying I was the bested mama ever.  It made my heart melt just a little bit.  I also love that he can not make any decisions with out saying "meenie miny meenie moe, catch a tiger with some toes".  I love how Aeson is so sweet natured.  He is such a cuddler and loves to rub on your back when you snuggle up with him.  He is quick to tell you how much he loves you.

I also have to copy this conversation from one of Alex's facebook status updates because it is just too funny to pass up:
Alex:  Aeson stop picking your nose!
Aeson"  But I got somethin' in it.
Alex:  Ok...
Aeson:  Awex, I got it!!  Here you go!
Alex (who was driving):  I don't want that.  Wipe it on your pants or something.
Aeson: Thats gwoss!  My pants will get dirty.  I'll just put it back in my nose.

LOL.  He makes me smile.

I have also been enjoying my one day of the week that I keep Aeson at home when I am off work while Bryden is at school.  I believe it is so important to spend some quality time with him.  I had a couple of years of just Bryden before Aeson was born and those moments were so special to me.  I am thankful that I am able to spend quality time with Ace before he gets older. I love that kid!
