A few of you know this already, but Alex and I have decided to give the photography business a try. It is something he has enjoyed doing for years and I have grown to love it as well. I guess I have always loved photography, I just didn't truly understand it until he came along. We have tossed around the idea of starting a photography business and I kept telling him he should just go for it, but I guess it is a scary thing to start your own business. It was fairly recently when we decided just to do it. Alex will keep his day job, of course, but we will take photos together over the weekends and I will do them alone during the week. We will both work on the editing. I was a little hesitant because it seems like everyone and their dog has a photography business, but we can't let that stop us. Hopefully people will see our talent and this takes off. I have started a photography blog, so I hope you guys will follow it! http://milanophotographytx.blogspot.com/
I also created a facebook page, so please "like" our page! We appreciate all the support we get!

It's November y'all!!
I am SO STINKIN' EXCITED that November has arrived!! For those of you that know me well, you are well aware that this is my absolute favorite time of year! Thanksgiving is less than 3 weeks away and I believe there are only 48 or 49 shopping day left until Christmas!! I'll let you do the math...
I am also excited for Alex's mom, step-dad, and brother to come down to Texas for Thanksgiving! It will be the first time they will have seen our home. It's not too much to brag about, but I think it has come together nicely over the past year or so. The boys are excited to see everyone too! I love that they love Alex's family. :) It makes me smile.
I guess I should not forget to mention that Halloween went well (although I could do without that holiday) and the kids received way too much candy as usual. Bryden dressed as Darth Vader and Aeson went as Obi Wan Kenobi. (I don't think I have ever even watched a Star Wars movie, so please excuse any misspellings)
This year we went trick or treating with the Preston family. We had a lot of fun with our old friends and I am not sure if I have ever mentioned that I am so happy that they moved back to Texas! We missed them!
The other major event that has happened over the past few weeks, is that Bryden's football season has come to an end. It was a bittersweet moment. The Prosper Chargers made it to the playoffs (along with every other team) and made it to the semi-finals where they faced the "Mean Green Eagles". It was predicted to be a real nail biter, but it wasn't. We lost the game pretty good. BUT I was happy that Bryden had more people come and see him play than he has ever had. The usual people were there (me, Alex, his dad and his fiance, my parents), but he was excited to see that his aunt, Alex's dad and grandparents came to see him play his final game of 2011. It was heartbreaking to see the boys after the game was over. They have been one of the best teams in the league, so they did not expect to lose this game. They were hoping to play next week in the "superbowl". Many of them were crying, which was upsetting, but we have been practicing 2 days a week since AUGUST. That is quite a bit of time involved for kindergarteners and first graders! Hence the reason I consider the loss "bittersweet". It was a lot of fun though and Bryden has grown to enjoy playing, so I can't wait until next year!!
